US Bishop Abolishes Another Mass in Roman Rite: Bishop William F. Medley of Owensboro, Kentucky, has ordered Rev. David Kennedy to stop celebrating according to the Roman Missal after June 30. He will only permit the Novus Ordo celebrated in Latin and ad orientem instead. Bishop Medley explains he cannot certify - as Vatican instructions required - that the parish has taken steps to move the faithful toward the Novus Ordo. He delayed action to see if Leo XIV would reconsider Traditionis Custodes but proceeded after the Cardinals' January Consistory declined to revisit the document.

Zairon, CC BY-SA 3.0, via Wikimedia Commons In the United Kingdom, a contested 2025 report—whose methodology has since been seriously questioned—claims a fourfold increase in 18-34-year-olds attending church at least once a month, with 20% of young men under 34 regularly attending compared to just 4% six years ago. Yet, it is still hard to deny an interest in Christianity and a—very quiet—revival. At Easter 2026, 21,000 adults and young people were baptised in France, a 20% increase compared to 2025, which already saw a 32% rise in baptisms compared to the year before. For comparison, in 2021 there were around 4,100 adult baptisms. Around 45% of young people in Spain (aged 15–29) identify as Catholic. This marks a dramatic shift in recent years, with Catholic identification among Spanish youth rising …

He is a strongly synodal, CELAM-formed, Francis-era pastoral organizer. His public record shows extensive commitment to "discernment", "accompaniment", and "synodality". Strong Synodal Profile By September 2022, Rev. Carvajal had assumed a leading role in coordinating the Diocese of Alajuela's Diocesan Synodal Process. In a September 28, 2022 talk on the Youtube channel of the Diocese of Alajuela, Monsignor Carvajal uses all of the Francis’ buzzwords such as "the synodal Church", "the reality is always before the idea", “listening to the cries of people”, etc. His Language Speaks Volumes In a September 5, 2023 video, Monsignor Carvajal said that discernment and synodality …Mwy

Friday, 20th June 1913 Frank Trial Will Not Be Long One Friday, June 20, 1913 Few Witnesses of the Scores Examined Will Be Called When Case Is Heard. That the trial of Leo M. Frank will take a much shorter time that is generally thought was indicated in a statement by Judge L. S. Roan. The judge said the greatest difficulty and almost as great a length of time would be consumed in drawing a jury as in the hearing of the case. He said the actual taking of evidence might not consume more than a day. Judge Roan intimated that he expected neither side to introduce the scores of witnesses who had been examined and made affidavits, but that from these witnesses the State and the defense would select the most material evidence, or salient points, and then introduce the most reliable witness who could cover the ground. For instance, eight or ten different persons might be able to testify on some different minor points, while there would be one witness who could testify to the same thing the …Mwy
