Arkansas has been named the most pro-life state in the nation for the seventh year in a row, according to Americans United for Life’s annual Life List. The ranking was announced Wednesday with Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Americans United for Life scores all 50 states on their protections for life in law across bioethical issues from conception to natural death, not solely abortion. Funeral agencies cannot include Church fees in their price lists or dictate religious arrangements. The Gates Foundation sponsored the Assisi interreligious meeting. The Bill Gates Foundation is listed as the first “Platinum” sponsor of the international interreligious peace gathering organized by the Catholic Community of Sant’Egidio in Assisi, Italy, from October 25–27, 2026. Pope Leo XIV cancelled his planned attendance, reportedly for health reasons.
