Spanish Bishops Divided over Immigrants in Ceuta: Archbishop Luis Argüello of Valladolid, president of the Spanish bishops’ conference, called the surge “an invasion,” contrasting with the local diocese’s humanitarian response. Argüello said the influx was part of a broader political strategy, arguing that migrants were being used in struggles for “money and power” and that “demographics are a weapon.”
Bishop Strickland about modernism within the Church of Leo XIV My dear friends in Christ, Thank you for joining me today. There are some words that once occupied a central place in the life of the Catholic Church but are now seldom heard, and I want to talk about one of those words today. The word is “modernism.” Ask the average Catholic today what modernism is, and many will not know how to answer. Ask when they last heard a sermon about it, and many would say, “Never.” Yet there was a time when the Church regarded modernism as such a grave danger that Pope St. Pius X devoted an entire encyclical to exposing it. In 1907, in Pascendi Dominici Gregis, he called modernism “the synthesis of all heresies.” Those are extraordinary words. Popes do not use language like that lightly. If St. Pius X believed modernism was the synthesis of all heresies, then a question naturally follows: What happened? Did modernism simply disappear? Or have we reached a point where the Church’s own warnings …barrachd

"Every religion legitimately considers itself to possess the truth," Cardinal Jean-Marc Aveline, Archbishop of Marseille and president of the French Bishops' Conference, said in an interview on Avvenire.it on August 5. Talking about Marseille's religious diversity [where Arabic has long become the dominant language], Cardinal Aveline described the coexistence of Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, and Christians as a theological challenge: "We did not invent the plurality of religions, nor the fact that every religion legitimately considers itself to possess the truth." On the Church's catholicity, Aveline claims: "The Creed we recite every Sunday embodies the Church's vocation to catholicity. If I had been born in China, I would have been Confucian; in Japan, Shinto." He argued that the Church's catholicity means recognizing "the desire for God in the hearts of women and men of every religion." Citing the Second Vatican Council, he said the Holy Spirit offers everyone "the possibility of being …barrachd
Our Lord did not found a number of Churches; He founded only one. There is only one Cross by which we can be saved, and that Cross has been given to the Catholic Church. It has not been given to others. ~ To His Church, His Mystical bride, Christ has given all graces. No grace in the world, no grace in the history of humanity is distributed except through her. ~ There are three ways of receiving this grace: ~ Baptism of water; Baptism of blood, (that of the martyrs who confessed the faith while still catechumens) and Baptism of desire. ~ This consists in doing the will of God. ~ God knows all men and He knows that amongst Protestants, Muslims, Buddhists and in the whole of humanity there are men of good will. ~ They receive the grace of baptism without knowing it, but in an effective way. ~ In this way they become part of the Church. ~ The error consists in thinking they are saved by their religion. ~ They are saved in their religion, but not by it. ~ There is no Buddhist church in Heaven …barrachd

On 4 August, Peruvian essayist Santiago Roncagliolo, in a lengthy interview with Daniel Titinger, described Leo XIV's behind-the-scenes methods as Bishop Robert Prevost of Chiclayo, Peru. According to Roncagliolo, Prevost quietly built coalitions, divided opponents, managed information, and preferred discreet political action to public confrontation. Roncagliolo is broadly sympathetic to Leo XIV. "As a character to narrate he was a nightmare. He has no phrases, no scenes, no gestures. You ask the sources: 'What did Prevost say at that dramatic and crucial moment?' 'Nothing, I think'.'" Weakening Opus Dei from Within Interviewer Titinger described Prevost as "a Trojan horse": "He understands the adversary, doesn't confront him openly, but disables him from within. He's always quiet; that's why he wasn't well known." Roncagliolo does not reject the characterization and discusses Prevost in those terms. He also explains how Prevost weakened Opus Dei: "Prevost divided Opus Dei. He offered …barrachd
[Saint Catherine of Genoa – XV-XVI Century AD; born: Genoa, Republic of Genoa/ died: Genoa, Republic of Genoa; Aged 62-63; mystic, known for her work among the sick and the poor] ST. JOSEPH'S INTERCESSION FOR THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED. St. Francis de Sales says: ** We do not often enough remember our dead, our faithful departed." Thus the Church, Uke a good »"mother, recalls to us the thought of the dead when we have forgotten them, and therefore she consecrates the month of November to the memory of the dead. This pious and salutary practice of praying for an entire month for the dead takes its rise from the earliest ages of the Church. The custom of mourning thirty days for the dead existed amongst the Jews. The practice of saying thirty Masses on thirty consecutive days was established by St. Gregory, and Innocent XI enriched it with indulgences. " that a devotion to the death of St. Joseph obtains many graces for those who are agonizing, and that, as St. Joseph did not at once pass into heaven—because Jesus Christ had not opened its gates—but descended into Limbo, it is a most useful devotion for the agonizing, and for the souls in Purgatory, to offer to God the resignation of St. Joseph when he was dying and about to leave Jesus and Mary in this world, and to honor the holy patience of this great Saint waiting calmly in Limbo until Easter-day, when Jesus Christ, risen and glorious, released him."

– Folha de S. Paulo, May 28, 1984 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira I’m not sure how to condense the lively wealth of material I promised for today into the hundred lines allowed by my article’s strict limit. “Making do” is the classic form of Brazilian savoir-faire. Let’s see if I can do it this time. Regarding the future Civil Code, which threatens to be hastily imposed on our defenseless Brazil like a straitjacket, I have expressed my concern that it will become an instrument of self-destruction for the social classes currently in power. There are many reasons to fear that, under its rule, Brazilian society will become considerably more distant from old Christian standards and much more aligned with communist standards. In other words, those among the bourgeoisie who control public affairs will have led us through a critical stage of the already short path remaining before we reach complete communization. The self‑destruction of ruling classes is a phenomenon of paramount importance, …barrachd
Daniel 7:13-14 And I saw, coming on the clouds of heaven, one like a son of man. He came to the one of great age and was led into his presence. On Him was conferred sovereignty, glory and kingship, and men of all peoples, nations and languages became his servants. His sovereignty is an eternal sovereignty which shall never pass away, nor will His empire ever be destroyed.

Moscow: Drone/AI Homestead Surveillance Already Operational as Poultry Registration Deadline Looms. In Moscow Oblast, the first automated fine of 150,000 rubles was issued to a landowner after drones filmed the property and AI identified hogweed. The system then matched GPS coordinates to property data and automatically issued a citation. This infrastructure for continuous automated surveillance of private property (drones + AI + owner matching + automated fines) is already operational under the banner of invasive-species control. Given a right crisis — be it bird flu, radiation scare after a claimed nuclear incident, or otherwise “contaminated” soil or other public health excuse to render gardens illegal — this same pipeline can be flipped to detect & enforce unregistered backyard gardens and flocks. this same pipeline can be flipped to detect & enforce unregistered backyard gardens and flocks. I love how they say "CAN BE". Planting the seeds of doubt and suspicion in the minds that don't know a thing of what's really going on or behind the event, law etc. Russia uses Surveillance to detect that sort of thing or worse. DANGEROUS THINGS. Not only hogweed but men who are plotting and planning and making bombs to strike or kill inside of Russia. Someone illegally in the country. People don't know how bad it's gotten in Russia. Strikes every day inside. Russia needs to step up protection and detection of any evil or law breaking there is. Most cities in Russia are allowed animals of all sorts like chickens and certain live stock. If they break the law in areas they are not allowed, then they shouldn't have broken the law. Sure does sound logical to me. Hogweed is very poisonous. Why would anyone be growing it in the first place? Or didn't have it removed professionally? There was …barrachd
