Vatican Sponsors Subversion of the Faith: The report of the Synod’s study group number 9 attempts to dismiss Catholic teaching on the inherent immorality of homosexual acts "by stigmatizing that teaching as the expression of an obsolete ‘paradigm’ that no longer can be relied upon to communicate God’s will to His people," wrote Rev. Gerald Murray in TheCatholicThing.org: "This Vatican-sponsored destructive subversion must come to an end now."
Scary stuff! I'm thankful for her deliverance. God is all powerful and anyone needing help in this kind of situation can reach out through prayer! Don't give up! God bless you!

On 25 March, Pakistan’s Federal Constitutional Court ruled that the 13-year-old Christian girl Maria Shabaz should be returned to the man accused of abducting and forcibly marrying her. Maria was reportedly abducted in July 2025 when she was 12 years old, forcibly converted to Islam, and married to a 30-year-old man. The legal marriage age in Punjab is 18. In recent weeks, three Catholic bishops and human rights organisations have issued statements urging the authorities to review the ruling.

On Friday, Leo XIV. visited Naples Cathedral. Shortly before his arrival, the blood of Saint Januarius reportedly liquefied off-schedule. The miracle traditionally occurs three times a year and has also been linked to earlier papal visits, including that of Pius IX in 1848. During visits by John Paul II in 1979 and Benedict XVI in 2007, the miracle did not occur. Francis witnessed a partial liquefaction in 2015.

Vatican Misrepresenting 'Courage' - Like Secular Media: The Vatican’s recent final report of the Synodal group on “emerging issues” [=homosexuality] drew criticism from 'Courage International'. This group helps homosexuals to live according to the teachings of the Church. In a May 8 statement, 'Courage' said the Vatican's report had committed “both calumny and detraction against the organization and its members.” Courage rejected claims that it engages in 'reparative therapy' and said that Synod officials could have clarified the matter by consulting its leadership rather than relying on one individual’s testimony. The organisation also expressed sadness that such criticism had appeared in an official Vatican document rather than from secular critics.

Saint Jozef Damien De Veuster - May 10 Priest (1840-1889) St. Jozef Damien De Veuster, ss.cc, was born in Tremelo, Belgium, on January 3, 1840. He began his novitiate with the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary ("Picpus Fathers") in 1859. He took the name Damien and prayed daily before a picture of St. Francis Xavier to be sent on a mission. In 1863, his brother, who was leaving for a mission in the Hawaiian Islands, fell ill. Preparations for the voyage had already been made, so Damien obtained permission from the Superior General to take his brother's place. He arrived in Honolulu on March 19, 1864. The following May 21, he was ordained a priest. At the time, the Hawaiian Government quarantined everyone infected with leprosy in the neighboring island of Molokai. The missionaries were concerned about the abandoned lepers, so Bishop Louis Maigret, a Picpus father, sent priests. He did not send anyone in the name of obedience because the assignment was a potential death …Zvimwe

Ambrosiaster (Catena Bible Romans1) AD 400 Those who knew by the law of nature that God requires righteousness realized that these things were displeasing to God, but they did not want to think about it, because those who do such things are worthy of death, and not only those who do them but those who allow them to be done, for consent is participation. Their wickedness is double, for those who do such things but prevent others are not so bad, because they realize that these things are evil and do not justify them. But the worst people are those who do these things and approve of others doing them as well, not fearing God but desiring the increase of evil. They do not seek to justify them either, but in their case it is because they want to persuade people that there is nothing wrong in doing them. Commentary on Paul’s Epistles

The sadomasochism group “Ecumenical Working Group on BDSM and Christianity” will be taking part in the 104th German Catholic Congress (Katholikentag) in Würzburg from 13 to 17 May. The Katholikentag is one of the largest gatherings of "Catholics" in Germany. It includes liturgical scandals, political discussions, cultural events, and stands from hundreds of different organisations. The sadomasochism group will host a stand from 14 to 16 May. Its members are “Christians” from various denominations who discuss sexuality and eroticism "particularly in the field of sadomasochistic sexual preferences". They aim to remove the taboo surrounding the topic and provide information about sadomasochistic practices within a 'faith' context. Also present at the Katholikentag will be the 'Network of Catholic Lesbians', which describes itself as an independent, feminist, Catholic-oriented spiritual network. #newsGobikwjarm
During yesterday’s Papal General Audience, the music ensemble in St. Peter's Square entertained the older generation with 1970s songs: Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond and Dancing Queen by ABBA. The latter celebrates nightlife.
Ist „Dancing Queen“ ein passender Song für eine allgemeine Papstaudienz? Was meint ihr dazu?
@JANET ZIMMER Perhaps it was to awake nostalgy for the spirit of "conciliar spring" of 1960's and 1970's - long gone and forlorn. The song came out in 1976 - just a year after Montini's "charismatic moment" in St. Peter's Basilica.
The Diocese of Amiens, northern France, has announced that it will not renew the mission of three conservative priests from the Diocese of Fréjus-Toulon after months of “growing tensions” within the parishes. Fathers François-Régis Favre, Éloi Legrand, and Pierre-Marie Brochery, began serving in the parishes of Albert, Bray-sur-Somme, Mailly-Maillet, and Acheux in September 2025. They will depart at the end of the current pastoral year. In a statement released on April 27, Bishop Gérard Le Stang said the decision followed “a long period of reflection” and consultations with diocesan clergy and parishioners. He described the situation as having created a “deep and lasting disruption” within the communities. Cassocks, Novus Ordo in Latin The priests drew criticism from some parishioners for wearing cassocks, celebrating the Novus Ordo partly in Latin, and emphasizing moral teaching. Complaints also emerged regarding what some described as divisive preaching. One deacon reportedly …Zvimwe
