Bishop Suspends Six Priests, Introduces Strict Discipline

Bishop Hieronymus Emusugut Joya of Maralal, Kenya, has suspended six diocesan priests as part of a sweeping package of measures. They are aimed at strengthening discipline and financial accountability.
The suspensions follow allegations of abuse of ecclesiastical authority, administrative negligence, and the mismanagement of Church property. Announcing the decision during Mass on 12 July, Bishop Joya said he had acted only after receiving credible evidence.
The suspensions affect a significant proportion of the diocese's clergy. Established by St. John Paul II in 2001, the diocese has 15 parishes served by 30 diocesan priests.
Alongside the suspensions, Bishop Joya introduced a series of disciplinary and administrative directives for clergy, including:
- Priests must return to their residences by 7:00 p.m. for evening prayer.
- Priests require the bishop's permission to spend the night away from their residence.
- No lay person may stay overnight in a priest's residence without prior …அதிகமாக

Detransitioning with De Maistre

July 13, 2026
How to recover from the lies of the Revolution
Joseph De Maistre (2026, Colourised)
To restore our civilisation we must recognise that for a century the minds of our people have been captured and directed by a constantly refined political technique designed to do just that.
If we are to do better than the virtues of vice and the political economy of national suicide, we must learn to think outside the pseudo reality framed by the mass manufacture of meaning.
This is the reason I am writing today about Joseph de Maistre, whose transformation from revolutionary believer to the most devastating critic of the religion of Man provides an outstanding example to us all of how to detransition from the political religion of evil.
This should take you eight minutes to read.

Archbishop Aguer: Traditionis Custodes Fueled Interest in the Roman Rite

Traditionis Custodes (2021) deepened wounds and, contrary to what Pope Francis intended, contributed to growing interest in the Roman rite, Archbishop Emeritus Héctor Aguer, 83, of La Plata, Argentina, wrote in a July 13 statement.
He notes that the Roman rite is especially popular among the young and contributes to “a good portion of conversions.”
“The transmission of the faith,” he adds, “is no longer passed, to a significant degree, from parents to children but from young people to young people.”
Monsignor Aguer says that “persecution or the extreme measures of progressivism” will not stop this growing movement. It goes “far beyond mere fashion” - whereas the fashion over the past sixty years has been to turn the Novus Ordo into an anything-goes vehicle of liturgical devastation.
He writes that the four Eucharistic Prayers of the Novus Ordo have effectively been displaced by “Eucharistic Prayer Zero” - whatever happens to occur to the celebrant at the moment.
In Argentina, the proportion …அதிகமாக

Archbishop Aguer, Argentina, on the Traditional Mass: “Traditionis Custodes, issued five years ago, far from healing the wounds, only deepened them. And contrary to what its promoter sought, it contributed to a growing interest in Tradition and Orthodoxy, especially among young people. Today, a good portion of conversions occur among those who prefer the ancient rite (of the Mass). And the transmission of the faith, to a great extent, is no longer passed from parents to children, but from young people to young people”

Although the SSPX does not possess ordinary territorial jurisdiction recognized by the Holy See, its bishops typically carry the crosier with the crook facing forward, a posture historically linked to jurisdictional authority. According to the traditional ceremonial, bishops lacking ordinary jurisdiction in the place where they officiate should carry the crosier with the crook turned toward themselves, not facing forward.

Canada’s PM Carney to appoint former Hillary Clinton staffer to top post: report - LifeSite

Tue Jul 14, 2026 - 4:26 pm EDT OTTAWA (LifeSiteNews) — Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will be promoting a political operative with connections to Hillary Clinton as his new “chief operating officer.” On Monday, Carney made some changes to his personal staff, after appointing his principal secretary, Tom Pitfield, to Canada’s Senate. According to a Globe & Mail report, American Maia Johnson, now a senior adviser for Canada-U.S. relations, will take on the chief operating officer role for Carney. Johnson has been connected to Hillary Clinton by helping with political strategy and logistics for her and other Democrats. She is said to have connections to former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Of note is that Bloomberg was the co-chair of Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) with Carney. According to sources, Johnson is connected to Carney through his work at GFANZ, besides her connections to Clinton. When it comes to the chief operating officer role, it should be …

Euthanasia Bill Rapporteur Attends Mass, Takes Offense at Anti-Euthanasia Homily

"One does not care for life by giving death," Father François Yambressinga, parish priest of La Madeleine in Châteaudun, said during his July 5 homily, before the French National Assembly's final vote on legalizing euthanasia tomorrow. He urged the faithful to "pray for life" and to "pray for parliamentarians so that they do not do just anything."
Among the congregation was Philippe Vigier, the bill's general rapporteur. He is also the mayor of Châteaudun and a member of the National Assembly for Les Démocrates.
Vigier attended the Mass because it was part of the town's annual Foire aux Laines medieval festival. Civic officials appear in costume. He sat in the front row dressed as the fifteenth-century military commander Jean de Dunois.
Afterward, Vigier told L'Écho Républicain that he felt personally targeted and "deeply hurt" by the homily. "The priest appealed to the congregation while I had no opportunity to respond. That is unacceptable," he said.

A Story of Two Cathedrals – Catholic Worker Movement

This spring I travelled from my home in Iowa to join Catholic Workers and friends from around the country in New York to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of our movement there on May 1, 1933. An added incentive for this journey was to join with activists from around the globe in witnesses for nuclear abolition on the occasion of the United Nations’ Non-Proliferation Treaty review conference that began on Monday, May 3. It was at the May Day festivities that the word was passed that the archbishop of Nagasaki, Japan, who was in town to address the U.N. conference, would be celebrating the 10:15 Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral the next day and several of us decided we would attend. As Martha Hennessy, visiting from Vermont, and I came out of the subway to walk the final few blocks to the cathedral, we were struck by the number of Japanese pilgrims of all ages on the streets of Midtown, greeting New Yorkers and tourists with gifts of origami cranes, gathering petition signatures,…

Homosexual Activists Invited to Leo XIV's Meeting with Civil Society

Madrid's homosexual activist group Crismhom published recently photos on social media from its attendance at Leo XIV's meeting with "civil society" during his visit to Spain.
On June 7, the group became the first homosexual organization officially invited to a papal event in Spain. The invitation came from pro-homosexual Cardinal José Cobo of Madrid.
Speaking to Artículo14.es, Crismhom president Ramón Legaspi Yrimia said the invitation showed "that the diverse Church exists and has a voice" and that "we, as LGBTI people, are part of the Church, not something foreign to it."
Later that day, Crismhom members attended the Pope's public Eucharist in Madrid, where they called for recognition of Catholic homosexual activists "as first-class Christians" and demanded access to the sacrament of marriage (!) "without distinction."

Jesus Mosaic from Plastic Bottle Caps: Students from Instituto Nuestra Señora de Lourdes in Buenos Aires, Argentina, have created a mosaic of the face of Jesus using thousands of plastic bottle caps. The face is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper. The project was shared by their art teacher, Sebastián Ramírez. He included the phrase "Soli Deo Gloria" ("Glory to God alone") in the post. The students have previously created mosaics honoring Pope Francis, Salvador Dalí, and Lionel Messi.

LDS and Catholic Mobilization Could Crush Idaho’s Abortion Ballot Measure

Two churches in Idaho have the raw power to crush the abortion initiative likely headed for the ballot this November: the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints and the Roman Catholic Church. Yes, Idaho has roughly 560,000 voting‑age Protestants, the largest religious block in the state, but they’re spread across hundreds of denominations. Mobilizing them as a single force is nearly impossible. The LDS Church, on the other hand, is unified. Roughly 260,000 voting‑age adults in Idaho identify as Latter‑day Saints. Not all are conservative, but the faith leans strongly toward traditional family values and pro‑life positions. When the LDS Church speaks, its members listen. Catholics add another 145,000 voting‑age adults statewide. Like the LDS community, most Catholics lean conservative, even if a minority will support the abortion initiative. Put these two churches together, and you’re looking at more than 400,000 Idahoans who could be mobilized by their religious leaders. In …

Bishop Morerod: FSSPX Treated "Ecumenical", Like a Non-Catholic Community

Bishop Charles Morerod of the Diocese of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg, Switzerland, said he no longer sees how a request to use a diocesan church for an FSSPX event could be granted today.
He was asked about October 5, 2019, when the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X celebrated its 50th anniversary at St. Maurice Church in Fribourg. Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre opened its first house of formation for seminarians in Fribourg in October 1969 before moving the seminary to Ecône in 1970.
Speaking to Cath.ch on July 12, Bishop Morerod explained that his 2019 decision reflected a different moment in the relationship between the Priestly Fraternity and Rome: "When I approved the use of a diocesan church back then, it was done in a spirit of goodwill, at a time when a rapprochement between the FSSPX and Rome was still possible."
He added that the FSSPX has "no intention whatsoever of entering into any process of reconciliation."
Bishop Morerod said future dialogue would be on different terms:…அதிகமாக

" Bishop Charles Morerod of the Diocese of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg, Switzerland, said he no longer sees how a request to use a diocesan church for an FSSPX event could be granted today."
" It will certainly be necessary to begin an ecumenically oriented dialogue with the FSSPX, similar to the one we maintain with other communities that are not in communion with Rome.""
---
Bishop Morerod is completely illogical: today - if SSPX is deemed by Post-Conciliar Church in the same position as "ecumenical" "separated brothers" in "imperfect communion" then even basilicas in Rome or even the Lateran cathedral should be granted to them today (cf. Mrs. Sarah last visit in Rome and Anglican "Mass" at Lateran in 2023 as examples).
