To be clear, in the case of heresy it is God who judges it because the Catholic Faith is revealed by God. The Pope is in effect judged by God as a heretic when he rejects the faith. Any man can identify the Pope as a heretic freely without any problem in that case. The man is not judging the Pope, the Pope has already been judged by God. The man is simply expressing an existing judgement.

I agree that this video is in very bad taste because they are mocking/ridiculing a sacramental whether they realize it or not. I wouldn't consider making a cross out of the palms "artistic" but it was probably the only correct or pious way to use the palm.
