De Mattei: Any Bishop Could Claim a Right to Consecrate Bishops in a Crisis

Italian historian Roberto de Mattei reflected on the announced episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) in an article published on CorrispondenzaRomana.it on June 24.
"State of Necessity" Cannot Be Self-Judged
For De Mattei, the state of necessity argument is simultaneously "the weakest and the strongest argument".
His question is: "Who has the authority to verify the existence of such a state and determine its beginning and end?"
He argues that if the FSSPX can independently determine when a state of necessity exists, then it also implicitly claims the authority to determine when that state ends.
That would place the Society in a position of judging the Holy See rather than being judged by it.
De Mattei acknowledges that Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre was not a speculative theologian or canonist, but a pastor of souls: "The decisive criterion for him was not the assertion of a right proper to the Society, but the spiritual need of the faithful."

The SSPX is not "self judging" the state of necessity. When Pope Leo XIV said that the SSPX's adherence to 20 church councils was a problem because, "they refuse to accept certain fundamental elements of the church," he admits that neither he nor the church he leads holds to the faith of those 29 councils, commonly known as the Apostolic faith. Thus, it is necessary to consecrate bishops nominated by those continuing to hold the Apostolic faith.
We are very blessed that the Pope has made it clear that there is a schism of the Synodal Church from the Apostolic Faith. A declaration of excommunication would only make formal what Archbishop Lefebvre said at the outset, Vatican II was the intiation of a new faith.

FSSPX Addresses Rome Again: "One Day Honest Discussion with Holy See"

The superiors of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X published today another Open Letter to Leo XIV and to the Cardinals. The letter is no call to action nor a negotiating proposal but rather another public reaffirmation of the Fraternity's long-standing position. Attached is a 28-page document (English below) with the Catholic faith. This document repeatedly affirms strong papal authority adding that the pope possesses "supreme, full, immediate, and universal jurisdiction". The letter.
Most Holy Father,
Most Reverend Eminences,
On the eve of the Consistory at the end of this month, and just days before the episcopal consecrations scheduled for 1 July in Écône, it seems to us that the time has come for the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X to make a full profession of Catholic Faith, which we wish to place in the hands of Your Holiness and each one of the Cardinals.
Today the Church suffers under the pressure of new forces, coming both from within and without, which push her in …Okuningi

Holy Family Adoration Chapel: New Building Blessed in Quincy, MA
"We live in a crazy world stuck in the horizontal—we need to step back and look up." Father Matthew Williams joins us to celebrate the grand opening of Quincy's new 24/7 adoration chapel. Fifteen years ago, critics claimed that Eucharistic adoration was a spiritual step backward—a relic of the past. Today, the exact opposite is proving true. Father Matthew Williams of the St. J's Collaborative steps into the living room, fresh off an exhausting and exhilarating weekend where Archbishop Henning officially consecrated the brand-new Holy Family Chapel in Quincy, Massachusetts, initiating perpetual 24/7 Eucharistic adoration. Father Matt shares the incredible seven-year providential journey behind the chapel's construction, which began in 2019 just months before the pandemic threatened to halt it. He dives into the profound data behind a recent Georgetown University survey revealing adoration as the single most effective …Okuningi

Leo XIV Sings World Youth Day Anthem with Children: Yesterday, Leo XIV joined children attending the Vatican’s summer program Estate Ragazzi in singing Jesus Christ, You Are My Life in the Paul VI Hall. Sound on.

Papa Leone XIV ha vissuto un momento musicale speciale con i bambini di Estate Ragazzi in Vaticano, unendosi a loro nel canto di Jesus Christ, You Are My Life nell’Aula Paolo VI.

What the Consistory Reveals About Leo XIV

Yesterday, the Vatican published the program for the Consistory of June 26–27, thus providing a picture of the themes, personalities, and processes that Leo XIV wants for the Church. The scheduling information had already been leaked on June 17.
Francis' Personnel Remains
The Vatican has entrusted the four principal sessions to Cardinals Grzegorz Ryś (Poland), Víctor Manuel Fernández (Curia), Stephen Brislin (South Africa), and Mario Grech (Curia).
All four are prominent figures associated with Francis' "project".
Cardinals Fernández and Grech are homosexual activists.
Francis' Synodal Procedures Remain
MessaInLatino immediately noted that the structure of the meeting is unmistakably similar to the synods of Francis: small groups, listening sessions, synthesis reports, and strictly timed interventions.
Two of the four sessions are organized around Leo XIV's encyclical Magnifica humanitas. This means discussions about peace, reconciliation, social fragmentation, technology, and power. …Okuningi

I read that the Ukrainians were so cruel and sadistic that the SS soldiers had to turn their head and some were throwing up from it. And yet, nothing has changed. They are still cruel and sadistic. They kill and maim the children and men and women. I posted a video of the Ukrainian nazi soldiers who tortured a young Russia soldier. Then gagged him and put him on a Cross. They then torched the Cross and the young soldier hanging on it. While he burned they celebrated and called him names laughing at him. They take such pleasure out of it that they post it for all to see just how sick they are. The thought of all those people back then up till today is hard to even think about all their suffering they went through. Soon, all this evil will be destroyed.

Spanish Pro-Homosex Priest Leaves Priesthood

Damián Montes Nieto has announced in an Instagram video that he is finally leaving the priesthood: “I have decided to withdraw from the exercise of priestly ministry.”
He was a Redemptorist and ordained to the priesthood in 2013 at the Santuario del Perpetuo Socorro in Granada, Spain.
He prefers to keep private the “serious reasons” that turned his ministry into a “very sad and very difficult” experience.
Looking to the future, he hopes for “the opportunity for a new life, shared with someone, or to start my own family.”
He has taken up employment within an educational community and has assumed the role of Academic Vice Director at an international institution. Montes was "born a poet and an artist.”
As a missionary priest, Montes had the opportunity to visit countries such as India, Honduras, Thailand, and Colombia, as well as various cities in Spain and Italy.
Radical Pro-Homosex Priest
Montes was one of the most openly homosex-affirming Catholic priests in Spain.

‘The Templar Rule Of Order’; ‘The Primitive Rule’; part I; pages 1-2

The original Latin Rule of Order was penned with the assistance of the young Cistercian Abbott, Bernard of Clairvaux. The rule is very similar to the modified Benedictine rule used by the Cistercian order. This makes perfect sense as the two orders were closely related and linked.
The Primitive Rule of the Templars
This translation of the original, or primitive, Rule of the Templars is based on the 1886
edition of Henri de Curzon, La Régle du Temple as a Military Manual, or How to Deliver a Cavalry Charge. It represents the Rule given to the fledgling Knights of the Temple by the Council of Troyes, 1129, although "it must not be forgotten that the Order had been in existence for several years and had built up its own traditions and customs before Hugues de Payens' appearance at the Council of Troyes. To a considerable extent, then, the Primitive Rule is based upon existing practices." (Upton-Ward, p. 11) This translation is excerpted from Judith Upton-Ward's The Rule of the Templars, …Okuningi

Woman Leads Liturgy on Saturday in Cathedral Instead of Eucharist

On March 14, a Saturday, for the first time, a woman led a liturgical celebration in place of the “Sunday” Eucharist in the Cathedral of Bozen/Bolzano, Italy.
Italian media spoke of "la celebrante" ("the celebrant").
Maja Clara and has been leading such liturgies for about ten years. She works as a journalist at the state press agency. “As a child, I wanted to be a pastor,” she says.
The Diocese of Bolzano-Bressanone, which covers the German speaking South Tyrol, is run by Bishop Ivo Muser.
In the diocese, about 500 (!) laypeople are entrusted with this ministry, nearly two-thirds are women. The Diocese has 500k Catholics and about 350 priests in 280 parishes. This makes less than 1,5k nominal Catholics per priest.

Theologian Bauer on the preaching ban: It would have been better not to ask Rome
Christian Bauer, born in Würzburg in 1973, has been Professor of Pastoral Theology at the Faculty of Catholic Theology at the University of Münster since 2023. Prior to that, he served as Professor of Pastoral Theology at the University of Innsbruck in Austria starting in 2012.
In an interview with *Kirche+Leben*, the Münster-based professor of homiletics explains why he criticizes not only Rome but also the German bishops.
Professor Bauer, what was your initial reaction to the Vatican’s ban on lay preaching during the Eucharistic celebration?
I was disappointed. For I, too, had harbored the—ultimately naive—hope that the will for a synodal transformation of the Church was significantly stronger in Rome. In that respect, the document from the Vatican was a rude awakening. It was not a good day for overcoming the stubborn, deeply ingrained clericalism—practiced for centuries—of a Church that is adopting …

Leo XIV Appoints German Bishop: "If Women’s Ordination Comes, Why Not?"

Today, Leo XIV appointed the rector of the seminary, Rev. Johannes Zehe, 62, as the new auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Hamburg, Germany.
Monsignor Zehe initially studied music in Berlin and worked as a violin teacher and orchestral musician before being ordained a priest in Hamburg in 1999.
Career Within Hamburg’s 🌈 Establishment
He owes his career to Hamburg’s Archbishop Stefan Heße who appointed him rector of the seminary in 2023 and has now evidently put him forward for appointment as auxiliary bishop.
However, Archbishop Heße of Hamburg is strongly pro-homosexual. Since June 2025, the archdiocese has been embroiled in a major controversy. Under the title “Male, Female, Diverse: Framework Concept for Sexual Education in the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Hamburg,” a 33-page document breaks with core Catholic teachings on sexuality and relationships.
Monsignor Zehe himself is not regarded as an internal opponent of the current direction.
However, his own online …Okuningi

Empty Words: Vatican Denies Indult for Ubiquitous Lay Preaching

The Vatican has rejected – on paper only – a request from the German Bishops' Conference to permit lay people to preach during the Eucharist by means of an "indult."
A June 17 letter, written by Cardinal Arthur Roche, Prefect of the Dicastery for Divine Worship, was published on Dbk.de.
The German bishops' proposal sought permission to allow lay employees, in the usual exceptional circumstances, to deliver a "homiletic reflection" following the Gospel during the Eucharist.
In his reply, Cardinal Roche claims with canon law that the homily is an integral part of the liturgy [only since Pius X] and is reserved to a priest or deacon. He stresses that the reservation of the homily to clergy is not merely a disciplinary norm and does not depend on theological competence or communication skills.
Cardinal Roche disputes the claim that current pastoral circumstances require an exception. Where a priest is present to celebrate the Eucharist, he is also present to preach. Where no priest is …Okuningi

Federal Judge Bars ICE From Making Arrests in Immigration Courts
The ruling in a class-action lawsuit filed in California applies to immigration courts nationwide.

June 23, 2026 Updated 10:16 p.m. ET
A federal judge in California issued an order on Tuesday blocking immigration agents nationwide from making arrests inside immigration courts. The decision halts what had been one of the most aggressive aspects of President Trump’s mass deportation campaign.
Judge P. Casey Pitts of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said in his decision that federal officials had violated a key statute governing administrative procedures when they changed previous guidelines that restricted civil arrests inside immigration courthouses.
The judge called officials’ decision-making processes “arbitrary and capricious,” saying they had failed to consider alternative options and had …Okuningi

"German Bishops Must Not Be Discouraged by Rome’s Letter"

The president of the German lay organization ZdK, Irme Stetter-Karp, 69, commented on the paper tiger from Rome claiming that laypeople supposedly may not preach during Eucharists.
The German Synodal Way had already voted in favor of the proposal in March 2023, with strong support from the bishops. “We therefore expect the German bishops to reaffirm their substantive position to Rome, strengthen their arguments, and under no circumstances read Cardinal Roche’s letter as a cause for discouragement,” she said.
For Ruth Fehlker of the Catholic Women’s Association of Germany (kfd) - that only a few days ago called for abortions in Catholic hospitals - the letter demonstrates “how great the gap is between the pastoral realities of many local churches and the directives coming from Rome.”

DMSO
Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is a remarkable, naturally occurring compound that stands as a testament to the profound healing potential suppressed by the pharmaceutical-medical complex. Derived from lignin, a component of wood, DMSO is a colorless, odorless solvent with an extraordinary ability to penetrate biological membranes, making it one of the most versatile and potent therapeutic agents in natural medicine. Its properties are not merely theoretical but are well-documented across decades of research, demonstrating its capacity to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, scavenge free radicals, and facilitate the transport of other healing substances deep into tissues. The suppression of DMSO by mainstream medical institutions, particularly the FDA, serves as a classic case study of how natural, affordable, and effective therapies are sidelined to protect the monopoly profits of the drug industry.
