Reasons for Christ's Ascension - SSPX Sermons
Catholics throughout history have sometimes been prompted to question why Our Lord ascended into heaven. If He had stayed here on earth, how could the Church have gone astray? But Christ Himself has already answered these queries when He revealed that until He ascended, the Paraclete (Holy Ghost) would not come and that by ascending, He goes to prepare a place for us when we finish this earthly life.
